Potential Trips Planned For The Next Year

I have just got back from an epic adventure in the Dominican Republic. It’s difficult to put into words how amazing my trip was, we did so many awesome things. I will be posting a blog about my travels in the Dominican Republic shortly, but there’s so much to talk about that it’s taking me forever to write! Watch this space.

When I was away I had one of those lightbulb moments. You know when something clicks in your head and you recognise something important? After years of putting myself down and always believing I could do better, I realised I am really darn proud of what I have achieved so far.

Whilst laying on a yacht, gazing out into the Caribbean sea, I realised that my hard work was paying off and felt so grateful to have such a wonderful opportunity. So, I intend to fill the next year with similar experiences.

I have some personal trips planned for myself, and also another potential trip on the cards for one of my clients. I thought I would share with you my travel plans for the next year, who knows, it might inspire you to go somewhere different.

Valencia

So in August I’m off on my sixth girls holiday. We’ve previously been to Rhodes (to a town called Lindos, twice), Kos, Majorca and Nice. I’m so excited to see what Valencia is like, and I’m pleased we are going there not Barcelona, as I like to go to less obvious destinations (altho def not dissing Barca, you beaut).

Valencia, Spain’s third largest city, is famous for art, science and futuristic buildings such as the rather impressive planetarium and the oceanarium. Like Barca, it offers a city break and beach holiday combo, which is perfect for us gals. Bring on the paella, sangria and sunshine.

European road trip

The boyf and I have driven to the south of France twice, and also Brittany. However, we plan to expand our road trip experience. I would love to go on an epic European road trip for a few months, but I know I wouldn’t get any work done, and I don’t really have the £££. So we may do a two week jobby travelling through France and Italy. We absolutely adored Tuscany when we visited in March, so perhaps our road trip will end in the Tuscany/Umbria region.

Thailand

I have a secret trip to Thailand on the cards, but it’s just the beginning of an idea at the moment. I’m a bit of a martial arts addict, so I want to attempt to complete one of their crazy training camps out there, preferably in an idyllic island location. Watch this space.

Wedding in Majorca

It looks like I may be off to a cheeky little wedding in Majorca in 2017. Which definitely means turning a long weekend into an extended hols, because why not? I have seen the potential wedding and it looks freaking amazing so I am super excited. Plus it’s one of my bestie’s weddings and I will be on bridesmaid duties so I absolutely cannot wait.

Couples trip

Trying to organise a couples trip is a frikkin nightmare. Firstly, it’s hard to get people to commit, and secondly, it’s impossible to find a date that everyone can do. However, this is definitely something I want to do in the next year or so, before all the babies start popping out and prevent fun couples holidays forever.

Woodland retreat

For agggess now I have wanted to go away with my man and stay in some sort of uber chic woodland cabin in the countryside. Preferably with a hotel tub and constant supply of prosecco. Plus a cosy fireplace and a stunning location. Not too much to ask is it? Oh and it would be awesome if we could take the pooches.

Sadly this type of hols are way more expensive than you would think. You could go abroad for the same price, but still, it’s defo on the to do lists when I have the funds.
